بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
Eng & Urdu Translations
In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّٰٓىۙ ﴿1﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
The Prophet frowned and turned away
وہ ترش رو ہوا اور منہ موڑ لیا ۔
اَنۡ جَآءَهُ الۡاَعۡمٰىؕ ﴿2﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting].
۔ ( صرف اس لئے ) کہ اس کے پاس ایک نابینا آیا ۔
وَمَا يُدۡرِيۡكَ لَعَلَّهٗ يَزَّكّٰٓىۙ ﴿3﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified
تجھے کیا خبر شاید وہ سنور جاتا ۔
اَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنۡفَعَهُ الذِّكۡرٰىؕ ﴿4﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him?
یا نصیحت سنتا اور اسے نصیحت فائدہ پہنچاتی ۔
اَمَّا مَنِ اسۡتَغۡنٰىۙ ﴿5﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
As for he who thinks himself without need,
جو بے پروائی کرتا ہے ۔
فَاَنۡتَ لَهٗ تَصَدّٰىؕ ﴿6﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
To him you give attention.
اس کی طرف تُو تو پوری توجہ کرتا ہے ۔
وَمَا عَلَيۡكَ اَلَّا يَزَّكّٰٓىؕ ﴿7﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.
حالانکہ اس کے نہ سنورنے سے تجھ پر کوئی الزام نہیں ۔
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ جَآءَكَ يَسۡعٰىۙ ﴿8﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]
اورجو شخص تیرے پاس دوڑتا ہوا آتا ہے ۔
وَهُوَ يَخۡشٰىۙ ﴿9﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
While he fears [ Allah ],
اور وہ ڈر ( بھی ) رہا ہے ۔
فَاَنۡتَ عَنۡهُ تَلَهّٰىۚ ﴿10﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
From him you are distracted.
تو اس سے تو بے رخی برتتا ہے ۔
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهَا تَذۡكِرَةٌ ۚ ﴿11﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder;
یہ ٹھیک نہیں قرآن تو نصیحت ( کی چیز ) ہے ۔
فَمَنۡ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗۘ ﴿12﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So whoever wills may remember it.
جو چاہے اس سے نصیحت لے ۔
فِىۡ صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍۙ ﴿13﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[It is recorded] in honored sheets,
۔ ( یہ تو ) پر عظمت آسمانی صیفوں میں ( ہے ) ۔
مَّرۡفُوۡعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ ۭۙ ﴿14﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Exalted and purified,
جو بلند وبالا اور پاک صاف ہیں ۔
بِاَيۡدِىۡ سَفَرَةٍۙ ﴿15﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels,
ایسے لکھنے والوں کے ہاتھوں میں ہے ۔
كِرَامٍۢ بَرَرَةٍؕ ﴿16﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Noble and dutiful.
جو بزرگ اور پاکباز ہیں ۔
قُتِلَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَاۤ اَكۡفَرَهٗؕ ﴿17﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he.
اللہ کی مار انسان پر کیسا ناشکرا ہے ۔
مِنۡ اَىِّ شَىۡءٍ خَلَقَهٗؕ ﴿18﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
From what substance did He create him?
اسے اللہ نے کس چیز سے پیدا کیا ۔
مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍؕ خَلَقَهٗ فَقَدَّرَهٗ ۙ ﴿19﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;
۔ ( اسے ) ایک نطفہ سے پھر اندازہ پر رکھا اس کو ۔
ثُمَّ السَّبِيۡلَ يَسَّرَهٗۙ ﴿20﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then He eased the way for him;
پھر اس کے لئے راستہ آسان کیا ۔
ثُمَّ اَمَاتَهٗ فَاَقۡبَرَهٗۙ ﴿21﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.
پھر اسے موت دی اور پھر قبر میں دفن کیا ۔
ثُمَّ اِذَا شَآءَ اَنۡشَرَهٗؕ ﴿22﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then when He wills, He will resurrect him.
پھر جب چاہے گا اسے زندہ کر دے گا ۔
كَلَّا لَـمَّا يَقۡضِ مَاۤ اَمَرَهٗؕ ﴿23﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him.
ہرگز نہیں اس نے اب تک اللہ کے حکم کی بجا آوری نہیں کی ۔
فَلۡيَنۡظُرِ الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِلٰى طَعَامِهٖۤۙ ﴿24﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then let mankind look at his food -
انسان کو چاہیے کہ اپنے کھانے کو دیکھے ۔
اَنَّا صَبَبۡنَا الۡمَآءَ صَبًّا ۙ ﴿25﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
How We poured down water in torrents,
کہ ہم نے خوب پانی برسایا ۔
ثُمَّ شَقَقۡنَا الۡاَرۡضَ شَقًّا ۙ ﴿26﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts],
پھر پھاڑا زمین کو اچھی طرح ۔
فَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا فِيۡهَا حَبًّا ۙ ﴿27﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And caused to grow within it grain
پھر اس سے میں اناج اگائے ۔
وَّ عِنَبًا وَّقَضۡبًا ۙ ﴿28﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And grapes and herbage
اور انگور اور ترکاری ۔
وَّزَيۡتُوۡنًا وَّنَخۡلًا ؕ ﴿29﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And olive and palm trees
اور زیتون اور کھجور ۔
وَحَدَآٮِٕقَ غُلۡبًا ۙ ﴿30﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And gardens of dense shrubbery
اور گنجان باغات ۔
وَّفَاكِهَةً وَّاَبًّا ۙ ﴿31﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And fruit and grass -
اور میوہ اور ( گھاس ) چارہ ( بھی اگایا ) ۔
مَّتَاعًا لَّـكُمۡ وَلِاَنۡعَامِكُمۡؕ ﴿32﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock.
تمہارے استعمال و فائدہ کے لئے اور تمہارے چوپایوں کے لئے ۔
فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الصَّآخَّةُ ﴿33﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But when there comes the Deafening Blast
پس جب کہ کان بہرے کر دینے والی ( قیامت ) آ جائے گی ۔
يَوۡمَ يَفِرُّ الۡمَرۡءُ مِنۡ اَخِيۡهِۙ ﴿34﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
On the Day a man will flee from his brother
اس دن آدمی اپنے بھائی سے ۔
وَاُمِّهٖ وَاَبِيۡهِۙ ﴿35﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And his mother and his father
اور اپنی ماں اور اپنے باپ سے ۔
وَصَاحِبَتِهٖ وَبَنِيۡهِؕ ﴿36﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And his wife and his children,
اور اپنی بیوی اور اپنی اولاد سےبھاگے گا ۔
لِكُلِّ امۡرِیءٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ شَاۡنٌ يُّغۡنِيۡهِؕ ﴿37﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him.
ان میں سے ہر ایک کو اس دن ایسی فکر ( دامن گیر ) ہوگی جو اس کے لئے کافی ہوگی ۔
وُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ مُّسۡفِرَةٌ ۙ ﴿38﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[Some] faces, that Day, will be bright -
اس دن بہت سے چہرے روشن ہونگے ۔
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسۡتَبۡشِرَةٌ ۚ ﴿39﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Laughing, rejoicing at good news.
۔ ( جو ) ہنستے ہوئے اور ہشاش بشاش ہوں گے ۔
وَوُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ عَلَيۡهَا غَبَرَةٌ ۙ ﴿40﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust.
اور بہت سے چہرے اس دن غبار آلود ہوں گے ۔
تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ؕ ﴿41﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Blackness will cover them.
جن پر سیاہی چڑھی ہوئی ہوگی ۔
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡكَفَرَةُ الۡفَجَرَةُ ﴿42﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones.
وہ یہی کافر بدکردار لوگ ہوں گے ۔
