بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔

وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الۡبُرُوۡجِۙ ﴿1﴾
By the sky containing great stars
برجوں والے آسمان کی قسم!

وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡمَوۡعُوۡدِۙ ﴿2﴾
And [by] the promised Day
وعدہ کئے ہوئے دن کی قسم!

وَشَاهِدٍ وَّمَشۡهُوۡدٍؕ ﴿3﴾
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
حاضر ہونے والے اور حاضر کئے گئے کی قسم!

قُتِلَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡاُخۡدُوۡدِۙ ﴿4﴾
Cursed were the companions of the trench
۔ ( کہ ) خندقوں والے ہلاک کئے گئے ۔

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الۡوَقُوۡدِۙ ﴿5﴾
[Containing] the fire full of fuel,
وہ ایک آگ تھی ایندھن والی ۔

اِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُوۡدٌ ۙ ﴿6﴾
When they were sitting near it
جبکہ وہ لوگ اس کے آس پاس بیٹھے تھے ۔

وَّهُمۡ عَلٰى مَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ شُهُوۡدٌ ؕ ﴿7﴾
And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.
اور مسلمانوں کے ساتھ جو کر رہے تھے اس کو اپنے سامنے دیکھ رہے تھے ۔

وَمَا نَقَمُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَمِيۡدِۙ ﴿8﴾
And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,
یہ لوگ ان مسلمانوں ( کے کسی اور گناہ کا ) بدلہ نہیں لے رہے تھے ، سوائے اس کے کہ وہ اللہ غالب لائق حمد کی ذات پر ایمان لائے تھے ۔

الَّذِىۡ لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ وَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ شَهِيۡدٌ ؕ ﴿9﴾
To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah , over all things, is Witness.
جس کے لئے آسمان و زمین کا ملک ہے ۔ اور اللہ تعالٰی کے سامنے ہے ہر چیز ۔

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ فَتَـنُوا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوۡبُوۡا فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ الۡحَرِيۡقِؕ ﴿10﴾
Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
بیشک جن لوگوں نے مسلمان مردوں اور عورتوں کو ستایا پھر توبہ ( بھی ) نہ کی تو ان کے لئے جہنم کا عذاب ہے اور جلنے کا عذاب ہے ۔

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ ؕؔ ذٰلِكَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡكَبِيۡرُؕ ﴿11﴾
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.
بیشک ایمان قبول کرنے والوں اور نیک کام کرنے والوں کے لئے وہ باغات ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے ۔

اِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيۡدٌ ؕ ﴿12﴾
Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.
یقیناً تیرے رب کی پکڑ بڑی سخت ہے ۔

اِنَّهٗ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيۡدُ ۚ ﴿13﴾
Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.
وہی پہلی مرتبہ پیدا کرتا ہے وہی دوبارہ پیدا کرے گا ۔

وَهُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الۡوَدُوۡدُۙ ﴿14﴾
And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,
وہ بڑا بخشش کرنے والا اور بہت محبت کرنے والا ہے ۔

ذُو الۡعَرۡشِ الۡمَجِيۡدُ ۙ ﴿15﴾
Honorable Owner of the Throne,
عرش کا مالک عظمت والا ہے ۔

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيۡدُ ؕ ﴿16﴾
Effecter of what He intends.
جو چاہے اسے کر گزرنے والا ہے ۔

هَلۡ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيۡثُ الۡجُـنُوۡدِۙ ﴿17﴾
Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -
تجھے لشکروں کی خبر بھی ملی ہے؟

فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُوۡدَؕ ﴿18﴾
[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?
۔ ( یعنی ) فرعون اور ثمود کی ۔

بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا فِىۡ تَكۡذِيۡبٍۙ ﴿19﴾
But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,
۔ ( کچھ نہیں ) بلکہ کافر تو جھٹلانے میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں ۔

وَّاللّٰهُ مِنۡ وَّرَآٮِٕهِمۡ مُّحِيۡطٌۚ ﴿20﴾
While Allah encompasses them from behind.
اور اللہ تعالٰی بھی انہیں ہر طرف سے گھیرے ہوئے ہے ۔

بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡاٰنٌ مَّجِيۡدٌ ۙ ﴿21﴾
But this is an honored Qur'an
بلکہ یہ قرآن ہے بڑی شان والا ۔

فِىۡ لَوۡحٍ مَّحۡفُوۡظٍ ﴿22﴾
[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.
لوح محفوظ میں ( لکھا ہوا ) ہے ۔
