بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
Eng & Urdu Translations
In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔
وَالۡفَجۡرِۙ ﴿1﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
By the dawn
قسم ہے فجر کی! ۔
وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٍۙ ﴿2﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [by] ten nights
اور دس راتوں کی!
وَّالشَّفۡعِ وَالۡوَتۡرِۙ ﴿3﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [by] the even [number] and the odd
اور جفت اور طاق کی ! ۔
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَسۡرِۚ ﴿4﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [by] the night when it passes,
اوررات کی جب وہ چلنے لگے ۔
هَلۡ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِىۡ حِجۡرٍؕ ﴿5﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?
کیا ان میں عقلمند کے واسطے کافی قسم ہے؟
اَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍۙ ﴿6﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -
کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ آپ کے رب نے عادیوں کے ساتھ کیا کیا ۔
اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الۡعِمَادِۙ ﴿7﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
ستونوں والے ارم کے ساتھ ۔
الَّتِىۡ لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِى الۡبِلَادِۙ ﴿8﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
جس کی مانند ( کوئی قوم ) ملکوں میں پیدا نہیں کی گئی ۔
وَثَمُوۡدَ الَّذِيۡنَ جَابُوا الصَّخۡرَ بِالۡوَادِۙ ﴿9﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
اور ثمودیوں کے ساتھ جنہوں نے وادی میں بڑے بڑے پتھر تراشے تھے ۔
وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِى الۡاَوۡتَادِۙ ﴿10﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -
اور فرعون کے ساتھ جو میخوں والا تھا ۔
الَّذِيۡنَ طَغَوۡا فِى الۡبِلَادِۙ ﴿11﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
ان سبھوں نے شہروں میں سر اٹھا رکھا تھا ۔
فَاَكۡثَرُوۡا فِيۡهَا الۡفَسَادَۙ ﴿12﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And increased therein the corruption.
اور بہت فساد مچا رکھا تھا ۔
فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ ۙۚ ﴿13﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
آخر تیرے رب نے ان سب پر عذاب کا کوڑا برسایا ۔
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالۡمِرۡصَادِؕ ﴿14﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
یقیناً تیرا رب گھات میں ہے ۔
فَاَمَّا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابۡتَلٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكۡرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوۡلُ رَبِّىۡۤ اَكۡرَمَنِؕ ﴿15﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."
انسان ( کا یہ حال ہے کہ ) جب اسے اس کا رب آزماتا ہے اور عزت اور نعمت دیتا ہے تو وہ کہنے لگتا ہے کہ میرے رب نے مجھے عزت دار بنایا ۔
وَاَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابۡتَلٰٮهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوۡلُ رَبِّىۡۤ اَهَانَنِۚ ﴿16﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."
اور جب وہ اسکو آزماتا ہے اس کی روزی تنگ کر دیتا ہے تو وہ کہنے لگتا ہے کہ میرے رب نے میری اہانت کی ( اور ذلیل کیا ) ۔
كَلَّا بَلۡ لَّا تُكۡرِمُوۡنَ الۡيَتِيۡمَۙ ﴿17﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! But you do not honor the orphan
ایسا ہرگز نہیں بلکہ ( بات یہ ہے ) کہ تم ( ہی ) لوگ یتیموں کی عزت نہیں کرتے ۔
وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوۡنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡكِيۡنِۙ ﴿18﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
اور مسکینوں کے کھلانے کی ایک دوسرے کو ترغیب نہیں دیتے ۔
وَتَاۡكُلُوۡنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكۡلًا لَّـمًّا ۙ ﴿19﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
اور ( مردوں کی ) میراث سمیٹ سمیٹ کر کھاتے ہو ۔
وَّتُحِبُّوۡنَ الۡمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ؕ ﴿20﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And you love wealth with immense love.
اور مال کو جی بھر کر عزیز رکھتے ہو ۔
كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الۡاَرۡضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ۙ ﴿21﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -
یقیناً جس وقت زمین کوٹ کوٹ کر برابر کر دی جائے گی ۔
وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالۡمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ۚ ﴿22﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,
اور تیرا رب ( خود ) آ جائے گا اور فرشتے صفیں باندھ کر ( آ جائیں گے ) ۔
وَجِاىْٓءَ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍۢ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۙ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ يَّتَذَكَّرُ الۡاِنۡسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَـهُ الذِّكۡرٰىؕ ﴿23﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?
اور جس دن جہنم بھی لائی جائے گی اس دن انسان کو سمجھ آئے گی مگر آج اسکے سمجھنے کا فائدہ کہاں؟
يَقُوۡلُ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَـيَاتِىۚ ﴿24﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
وہ کہے گا کہ کاش میں نے اپنی اس زندگی کے لئے کچھ پیشگی سامان کیا ہوتا ۔
فَيَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ۙ ﴿25﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
پس آج اللہ کے عذاب جیسا عذاب کسی کا نہ ہوگا ۔
وَّلَا يُوۡثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ ﴿26﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].
نہ اس کی قید و بند جیسی کسی کی قیدو بند ہوگی ۔
يٰۤاَيَّتُهَا النَّفۡسُ الۡمُطۡمَٮِٕنَّةُ ۖ ﴿27﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
اے اطمینان والی روح ۔
ارۡجِعِىۡۤ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرۡضِيَّةً ۚ ﴿28﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
تو اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹ چل اس طرح کہ تو اس سے راضی وہ تجھ سے خوش ۔
فَادۡخُلِىۡ فِىۡ عِبٰدِىۙ ﴿29﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And enter among My [righteous] servants
پس میرے خاص بندوں میں داخل ہوجا ۔
وَادۡخُلِىۡ جَنَّتِى ﴿30﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And enter My Paradise."
اور میری جنت میں چلی جا ۔
