بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
Eng & Urdu Translations
In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔
سَاَلَ سَآٮِٕلٌ ۢ بِعَذَابٍ وَّاقِعٍۙ ﴿1﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen
ایک سوال کرنے والے نے اس عذاب کا سوال کیا جو واضح ہونے والا ہے ۔
لِّلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ لَيۡسَ لَهٗ دَافِعٌ ۙ ﴿2﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
To the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer.
کافروں پر ، جسے کوئی ہٹانے والا نہیں ۔
مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ذِى الۡمَعَارِجِؕ ﴿3﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[It is] from Allah , owner of the ways of ascent.
اس اللہ کی طرف سے جو سیڑھیوں والا ہے ۔
تَعۡرُجُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ وَ الرُّوۡحُ اِلَيۡهِ فِىۡ يَوۡمٍ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهٗ خَمۡسِيۡنَ اَلۡفَ سَنَةٍۚ ﴿4﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.
جس کی طرف فرشتے اور روح چڑھتے ہیں ایک دن میں جس کی مقدار پچاس ہزار سال کی ہے ۔
فَاصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرًا جَمِيۡلًا ﴿5﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So be patient with gracious patience.
پس تو اچھی طرح صبر کر ۔
اِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهٗ بَعِيۡدًا ۙ ﴿6﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Indeed, they see it [as] distant,
بیشک یہ اس ( عذاب ) کو دور سمجھ رہے ہیں ۔
وَّنَرٰٮهُ قَرِيۡبًا ؕ ﴿7﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But We see it [as] near.
اور ہم اسے قریب ہی دیکھتے ہیں ۔
يَوۡمَ تَكُوۡنُ السَّمَآءُ كَالۡمُهۡلِۙ ﴿8﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
On the Day the sky will be like murky oil,
جس دن آسمان مثل تیل کی تلچھٹ کے ہو جائے گا ۔
وَتَكُوۡنُ الۡجِبَالُ كَالۡعِهۡنِۙ ﴿9﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And the mountains will be like wool,
اور پہاڑ مثل رنگین اون کے ہوجائیں گے ۔
وَلَا يَسۡـَٔـلُ حَمِيۡمٌ حَمِيۡمًا ۖۚ ﴿10﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend,
اور کوئی دوست کسی دوست کو نہ پوچھے گا ۔
يُّبَصَّرُوۡنَهُمۡؕ يَوَدُّ الۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِىۡ مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِٮِٕذٍۢ بِبَنِيۡهِۙ ﴿11﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children
۔ ( حالانکہ ) ایک دوسرے کو دکھا دیئے جائیں گے ، گنہگار اس دن کے عذاب کے بدلے فدیے میں اپنے بیٹوں کو ۔
وَ صَاحِبَتِهٖ وَاَخِيۡهِۙ ﴿12﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And his wife and his brother
اپنی بیوی کو اور اپنے بھائی کو ۔
وَفَصِيۡلَتِهِ الَّتِىۡ تُــْٔوِيۡهِۙ ﴿13﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And his nearest kindred who shelter him
اپنے کنبے کو جو اسے پناہ دیتا تھا ۔
وَمَنۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِيۡعًا ۙ ثُمَّ يُنۡجِيۡهِۙ ﴿14﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him.
اور روئے زمین کے سب لوگوں کو دینا چاہے گا تاکہ یہ اسے نجات دلا دے ۔
كَلَّاؕ اِنَّهَا لَظٰىۙ ﴿15﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! Indeed, it is the Flame [of Hell],
۔ ( مگر ) ہرگزیہ نہ ہوگا ، یقیناً وہ شعلہ والی ( آگ ) ہے ۔
نَزَّاعَةً لِّلشَّوٰى ۖۚ ﴿16﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
A remover of exteriors.
جو منہ اور سر کی کھال کھینچ لانے والی ہے ۔
تَدۡعُوۡا مَنۡ اَدۡبَرَ وَتَوَلّٰىۙ ﴿17﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
It invites he who turned his back [on truth] and went away [from obedience]
وہ ہر شخص کو پکارے گی جو پیچھے ہٹتا اور منہ موڑتا ہے ۔
وَجَمَعَ فَاَوۡعٰى ﴿18﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And collected [wealth] and hoarded.
اور جمع کرکے سنبھال رکھتا ہے ۔
اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوۡعًا ۙ ﴿19﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Indeed, mankind was created anxious:
بیشک انسان بڑے کچے دل والا بنایا گیا ہے ۔
اِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوۡعًا ۙ ﴿20﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
When evil touches him, impatient,
جب اسے مصیبت پہنچتی ہے تو ہڑ بڑا اٹھتا ہے ۔
وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الۡخَيۡرُ مَنُوۡعًا ۙ ﴿21﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And when good touches him, withholding [of it],
اور جب راحت ملتی ہے تو بخل کرنے لگتا ہے ۔
اِلَّا الۡمُصَلِّيۡنَۙ ﴿22﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Except the observers of prayer -
مگر وہ نمازی ۔
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَلٰى صَلَاتِهِمۡ دَآٮِٕمُوۡنَۙ ﴿23﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Those who are constant in their prayer
جو اپنی نمازوں پر ہمیشگی کرنے والے ہیں ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ فِىۡۤ اَمۡوَالِهِمۡ حَقٌّ مَّعۡلُوۡمٌۙ ﴿24﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those within whose wealth is a known right
اور جن کے مالوں میں مقررہ حصہ ہے ۔
لِّلسَّآٮِٕلِ وَالۡمَحۡرُوۡمِۙ ﴿25﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
For the petitioner and the deprived -
مانگنے والوں کا بھی اور سوال سے بچنے والوں کا بھی ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُصَدِّقُوۡنَ بِيَوۡمِ الدِّيۡنِۙ ﴿26﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those who believe in the Day of Recompense
اور جو انصاف کے دن پر یقین رکھتے ہیں ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِمۡ مُّشۡفِقُوۡنَۚ ﴿27﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord -
اور جو اپنے رب کے عذاب سے ڈرتے رہتے ہیں ۔
اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمۡ غَيۡرُ مَاۡمُوۡنٍ ﴿28﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Indeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe -
بیشک ان کے رب کا عذاب بے خوف ہونے کی چیز نہیں ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوۡجِهِمۡ حٰفِظُوۡنَۙ ﴿29﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those who guard their private parts
اور جو لوگ اپنی شرمگاہوں کی ( حرام سے ) حفاظت کرتے ہیں ۔
اِلَّا عَلٰٓى اَزۡوَاجِهِمۡ اَوۡ مَا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُمۡ فَاِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُوۡمِيۡنَۚ ﴿30﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed -
ہاں ان کی بیویاں اور لونڈیوں کے بارے میں جن کے وہ مالک ہیں انہیں کوئی ملامت نہیں ۔
فَمَنِ ابۡتَغٰى وَرَآءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡعٰدُوۡنَۚ ﴿31﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors -
اب جو کوئی اس کے علاوہ ( راہ ) ڈھونڈے گا تو ایسے لوگ حد سے گزر جانے والے ہونگے ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رٰعُوۡنَ ۙ ﴿32﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those who are to their trusts and promises attentive
اور جو اپنی امانتوں کا اور اپنے قول و قرار کا پاس رکھتے ہیں ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ بِشَهٰدٰتِهِمۡ قَآٮِٕمُوۡنَ ۙ ﴿33﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those who are in their testimonies upright
اور جو اپنی گواہیوں پر سیدھے اور قائم رہتے ہیں ۔
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَلٰى صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُوۡنَؕ ﴿34﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And those who [carefully] maintain their prayer:
اورجو اپنی نمازوں کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں ۔
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ مُّكۡرَمُوۡنَؕ ﴿35﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
They will be in gardens, honored.
یہی لوگ جنتوں میں عزت والے ہونگے ۔
فَمَالِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا قِبَلَكَ مُهۡطِعِيۡنَۙ ﴿36﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad],
پس کافروں کو کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ وہ تیری طرف دوڑتے آتے ہیں ۔
عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِيۡنَ ﴿37﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups?
دائیں اور بائیں سے گروہ کے گروہ ۔
اَيَطۡمَعُ كُلُّ امۡرِىءٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ اَنۡ يُّدۡخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيۡمٍۙ ﴿38﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure?
کیا ان میں سے ہر ایک کی توقع یہ ہے کہ وہ نعمتوں والی جنت میں داخل کیا جائے گا؟
كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّا خَلَقۡنٰهُمۡ مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿39﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know.
۔ ( ایسا ) ہرگز نہ ہوگا ہم نے انہیں اس ( چیز ) سے پیدا کیا ہے جسے وہ جانتے ہیں ۔
فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِرَبِّ الۡمَشٰرِقِ وَالۡمَغٰرِبِ اِنَّا لَقٰدِرُوۡنَۙ ﴿40﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able
پس مجھے قسم ہے مشرقوں اور مغربوں کے رب کی ( کہ ) ہم یقیناً قادر ہیں ۔
عَلٰٓى اَنۡ نُّبَدِّلَ خَيۡرًا مِّنۡهُمۡۙ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوۡقِيۡنَ ﴿41﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
To replace them with better than them; and We are not to be outdone.
اس پر کہ ان کے عوض ان سے اچھے لوگ لے آئیں اور ہم عاجز نہیں ہیں ۔
فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوۡضُوۡا وَيَلۡعَبُوۡا حَتّٰى يُلٰقُوۡا يَوۡمَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ يُوۡعَدُوۡنَۙ ﴿42﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised -
پس تو انہیں جھگڑتا کھیلتا چھوڑ دے یہاں تک کہ یہ اپنے اس دن سے جا ملیں جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے ۔
يَوۡمَ يَخۡرُجُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡاَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَاَنَّهُمۡ اِلٰى نُصُبٍ يُّوۡفِضُوۡنَۙ ﴿43﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening.
جس دن یہ قبروں سے دوڑتے ہوئے نکلیں گے ، گویا کہ وہ کسی جگہ کی طرف تیز تیز جا رہے ہیں ۔
خَاشِعَةً اَبۡصَارُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٌ ؕ ذٰلِكَ الۡيَوۡمُ الَّذِىۡ كَانُوۡا يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ﴿44﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised.
ان کی آنکھیں جھکی ہوئی ہو ں گی ، ان پر ذلت چھا رہی ہوگی یہ ہے وہ دن جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا جاتا تھا ۔
