In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡمُدَّثِّرُۙ ﴿1﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
O you who covers himself [with a garment],
اے کپڑا اوڑھنے والے ۔

قُمۡ فَاَنۡذِرۡۙ ﴿2﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Arise and warn
کھڑا ہو جا اور آگاہ کر دے ۔

وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرۡۙ ﴿3﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And your Lord glorify
اور اپنے رب ہی کی بڑائیاں بیان کر ۔

وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرۡۙ ﴿4﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And your clothing purify
اپنے کپڑوں کو پاک رکھا کر ۔

وَالرُّجۡزَ فَاهۡجُرۡۙ ﴿5﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And uncleanliness avoid
ناپاکی کو چھوڑ دے ۔

وَلَا تَمۡنُنۡ تَسۡتَكۡثِرُۙ ﴿6﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And do not confer favor to acquire more
اور احسان کرکے زیادہ لینے کی خواہش نہ کر ۔

وَ لِرَبِّكَ فَاصۡبِرۡؕ ﴿7﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
But for your Lord be patient.
اور اپنے رب کی راہ میں صبر کر ۔

فَاِذَا نُقِرَ فِى النَّاقُوۡرِۙ ﴿8﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And when the trumpet is blown,
پس جبکہ صور میں پھونک ماری جائے گی ۔

فَذٰلِكَ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ يَّوۡمٌ عَسِيۡرٌۙ ﴿9﴾

That Day will be a difficult day
تووہ دن بڑا سخت دن ہوگا ۔

عَلَى الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ غَيۡرُ يَسِيۡرٍ ﴿10﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
For the disbelievers - not easy.
۔ ( جو ) کافروں پر آسان نہ ہوگا ۔

ذَرۡنِىۡ وَمَنۡ خَلَقۡتُ وَحِيۡدًا ۙ ﴿11﴾

Leave Me with the one I created alone
مجھے اور اسے چھوڑ دے جسے میں نے اکیلا پیدا کیا ہے ۔

وَّجَعَلۡتُ لَهٗ مَالًا مَّمۡدُوۡدًا ۙ ﴿12﴾

And to whom I granted extensive wealth
اور اسے بہت سا مال دے رکھا ہے ۔

وَّبَنِيۡنَ شُهُوۡدًا ۙ ﴿13﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And children present [with him]
اور حاضر باش فرزند بھی ۔

وَّمَهَّدتُّ لَهٗ تَمۡهِيۡدًا ۙ ﴿14﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life].
اور میں نے اسے بہت کچھ کشادگی دے رکھی ہے ۔

ثُمَّ يَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ اَزِيۡدَ ۙ ﴿15﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then he desires that I should add more.
پھر بھی اس کی چاہت ہے کہ میں اسے اور زیادہ دوں ۔

كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ لِاٰيٰتِنَا عَنِيۡدًا ؕ ﴿16﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses obstinate.
نہیں نہیں وہ ہماری آیتوں کا مخالف ہے ۔

سَاُرۡهِقُهٗ صَعُوۡدًا ؕ ﴿17﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
I will cover him with arduous torment.
عنقریب میں اسے ایک سخت چڑھائی چڑھاؤں گا ۔

اِنَّهٗ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَۙ ﴿18﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Indeed, he thought and deliberated.
اس نے غور کرکے تجویز کی ۔

فَقُتِلَ كَيۡفَ قَدَّرَۙ ﴿19﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated.
اسے ہلاکت ہو کیسی ( تجویز ) سوچی؟

ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيۡفَ قَدَّرَۙ ﴿20﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated.
وہ پھر غارت ہو کس طرح اندازہ کیا ۔

ثُمَّ نَظَرَۙ ﴿21﴾

Then he considered [again];
اس نے پھر دیکھا ۔

ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَۙ ﴿22﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then he frowned and scowled;
پھر تیوری چڑھائی اور منہ بنایا ۔

ثُمَّ اَدۡبَرَ وَاسۡتَكۡبَرَۙ ﴿23﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then he turned back and was arrogant
پھر پیچھے ہٹ گیا اور غرور کیا ۔

فَقَالَ اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا سِحۡرٌ يُّؤۡثَرُۙ ﴿24﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others].
اور کہنے لگا یہ تو صرف جادو ہے جو نقل کیا جاتا ہے ۔

اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا قَوۡلُ الۡبَشَرِؕ ﴿25﴾

This is not but the word of a human being."
سوائے انسانی کلام کے کچھ بھی نہیں ۔

سَاُصۡلِيۡهِ سَقَرَ ﴿26﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
I will drive him into Saqar.
میں عنقریب اسے دوزخ میں ڈالوں گا ۔

وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا سَقَرُؕ ﴿27﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And what can make you know what is Saqar?
اور تجھے کیا خبر کہ دوزخ کیا چیز ہے؟

لَا تُبۡقِىۡ وَ لَا تَذَرُۚ ﴿28﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned],
نہ وہ باقی رکھتی ہے نہ چھوڑتی ہے ۔

لَـوَّاحَةٌ لِّلۡبَشَرِۖۚ ﴿29﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Blackening the skins.
کھال کو جھلسا دیتی ہے ۔

عَلَيۡهَا تِسۡعَةَ عَشَرَؕ ﴿30﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Over it are nineteen [angels].
اور اس میں انیس ( فرشتے مقرر ) ہیں ۔

وَمَا جَعَلۡنَاۤ اَصۡحٰبَ النَّارِ اِلَّا مَلٰٓٮِٕكَةً وَّمَا جَعَلۡنَا عِدَّتَهُمۡ اِلَّا فِتۡنَةً لِّلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا ۙ لِيَسۡتَيۡقِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡكِتٰبَ وَيَزۡدَادَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِيۡمَانًا وَّلَا يَرۡتَابَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡكِتٰبَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَۙ وَلِيَقُوۡلَ الَّذِيۡنَ فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّرَضٌ وَّالۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ مَاذَاۤ اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلًا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ جُنُوۡدَ رَبِّكَ اِلَّا هُوَ ؕ وَمَا هِىَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٰى لِلۡبَشَرِ ﴿31﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity.
ہم نے دوزخ کے داروغے صرف فرشتے رکھے ہیں اور ہم نے ان کی تعداد صرف کافروں کی آزمائش کے لئے مقرر کی ہے تاکہ اہل کتاب یقین کرلیں اور اہل ایمان کے ایمان اور اضافہ ہو جائے اور اہل کتاب اور اہل ایمان شک نہ کریں اور جن کے دلوں میں بیماری ہے وہ اور کافر کہیں کہ اس بیان سے اللہ تعالٰی کی کیا مراد ہے؟ اس طرح اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہتا ہے گمراہ کرتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دیتا ہے تیرے رب کے لشکروں کو اس کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا یہ تو کل بنی آدم کے لیے سراسر پندونصیحت ہے ۔

كَلَّا وَالۡقَمَرِۙ ﴿32﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! By the moon
سچ کہتا ہو ں قسم ہے چاند کی ۔

وَالَّيۡلِ اِذۡ اَدۡبَرَۙ ﴿33﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [by] the night when it departs
اور رات کی جب وہ پیچھے ہٹے ۔

وَالصُّبۡحِ اِذَاۤ اَسۡفَرَۙ ﴿34﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And [by] the morning when it brightens,
اور صبح کی جب روشن ہو جائے ۔

اِنَّهَا لَاِحۡدَى الۡكُبَرِۙ ﴿35﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions]
کہ ( یقیناً وہ جہنم ) بڑی چیزوں میں سے ایک ہے ۔

نَذِيۡرًا لِّلۡبَشَرِۙ ﴿36﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
As a warning to humanity -
بنی آدم کو ڈرانے والی ۔

لِمَنۡ شَآءَ مِنۡكُمۡ اَنۡ يَّتَقَدَّمَ اَوۡ يَتَاَخَّرَؕ ﴿37﴾

To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind.
۔ ( یعنی ) اسے جو تم میں سے آگے بڑھنا چاہے یا پیچھے ہٹنا چاہئے ۔

كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ ۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ رَهِيۡنَةٌ ۙ ﴿38﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained
ہر شخص اپنے اعمال کے بدلے میں گروی ہے ۔

اِلَّاۤ اَصۡحٰبَ الۡيَمِيۡنِۛ ؕ ﴿39﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Except the companions of the right,
مگر دائیں ہاتھ والے ۔

فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ ۛ يَتَسَآءَلُوۡنَۙ ﴿40﴾

[Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other
کہ وہ بہشتوں میں ( بیٹھے ہوئے )، گناہ گاروں سےسوال کرتے ہوں گے

عَنِ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَۙ ﴿41﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
About the criminals,
مجرموں سے

مَا سَلَـكَكُمۡ فِىۡ سَقَرَ ﴿42﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
[And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?"
تمہیں دوزخ میں کس چیز نے ڈالا ۔

قَالُوۡا لَمۡ نَكُ مِنَ الۡمُصَلِّيۡنَۙ ﴿43﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
They will say, "We were not of those who prayed,
وہ جواب دیں گے کہ ہم نمازی نہ تھے ۔

وَلَمۡ نَكُ نُطۡعِمُ الۡمِسۡكِيۡنَۙ ﴿44﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Nor did we used to feed the poor.
نہ مسکینوں کو کھانا کھلاتے تھے ۔

وَكُنَّا نَخُوۡضُ مَعَ الۡخَـآٮِٕضِيۡنَۙ ﴿45﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it],
اور ہم بحث کرنے والے ( انکاریوں ) کا ساتھ دے کر بحث مباحثہ میں مشغول رہا کرتے تھے ۔

وَ كُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوۡمِ الدِّيۡنِۙ ﴿46﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And we used to deny the Day of Recompense
اور روز جزا کو جھٹلاتے تھے ۔

حَتّٰٓى اَتٰٮنَا الۡيَقِيۡنُؕ ﴿47﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Until there came to us the certainty."
یہاں تک کہ ہمیں موت آگئی ۔

فَمَا تَنۡفَعُهُمۡ شَفَاعَةُ الشّٰفِعِيۡنَؕ ﴿48﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors.
پس انہیں سفارش کرنے والوں کی سفارش نفع نہ دے گی ۔

فَمَا لَهُمۡ عَنِ التَّذۡكِرَةِ مُعۡرِضِيۡنَۙ ﴿49﴾

Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away
انہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے؟ کہ نصیحت سے منہ موڑ رہے ہیں ۔

كَاَنَّهُمۡ حُمُرٌ مُّسۡتَنۡفِرَةٌ ۙ ﴿50﴾

As if they were alarmed donkeys
گویا کہ وہ بد کے ہوئے گدھے ہیں ۔

فَرَّتۡ مِنۡ قَسۡوَرَةٍ ؕ ﴿51﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Fleeing from a lion?
جو شیر سے بھاگے ہوں ۔

بَلۡ يُرِيۡدُ كُلُّ امۡرِىٴٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ اَنۡ يُّؤۡتٰى صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً ۙ ﴿52﴾

Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about.
بلکہ ان میں سے ہر شخص چاہتا ہے کہ اسے کھلی ہوئی کتابیں دی جائیں ۔

كَلَّا ؕ بَلۡ لَّا يَخَافُوۡنَ الۡاٰخِرَةَ ؕ ﴿53﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
No! But they do not fear the Hereafter.
ہرگز ایسا نہیں ( ہو سکتا بلکہ ) یہ قیامت سے بے خوف ہیں ۔

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهٗ تَذۡكِرَةٌ ۚ ﴿54﴾

No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder
سچی بات تو یہ ہے کہ یہ ( قرآن ) ایک نصیحت ہے ۔

فَمَنۡ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗ ؕ ﴿55﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
Then whoever wills will remember it.
اب جو چاہے اس سے نصیحت حاصل کرے ۔

وَمَا يَذۡكُرُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ ؕ هُوَ اَهۡلُ التَّقۡوٰى وَاَهۡلُ الۡمَغۡفِرَةِ ﴿56﴾
Eng & Urdu Translations
And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness.
اور وہ اس وقت نصیحت حاصل کریں گے جب اللہ تعالٰی چاہے وہ اسی لائق ہے کہ اس سے ڈریں اور اس لائق بھی کہ وہ بخشے ۔
